The base town of Norcia is a beautiful walled town in a remote area of Italy adjacent to the  Sibillini National Park. (Sibillini) is favoured by the Italians in summer as being high in the mountains it remains fresh even in the height of summer.

Guests can stay at the family-run hotels owned by Anna & Carlo Bianconi. They have a passion for hospitality and good food and their restaurant Granario Del Monte is renowned throughout Italy for its imaginative, high quality food.

Or a variety of alternatives.  eg. Casale Degli Amici which is a lovely farmstay just outside Norcia. L'Antico Borghetto which is 2 km from the riding centre and 5 km from Norcia. Here there are self catering appartments.

The riding is from The Oxer Riding Centre  located a 7 kilometres from Norcia out into the surrounding hills which rise to mountains with peaks around 6000’. The Sibillini National Park, on the doorstep, provides refuge for a rich diversity of wild life including wild boar, wild cats, golden eagles as well as semi-wild horses and flocks of mountain sheep and cattle.
